Connect Vereda AI to Claude

Access your team's health, prep for 1:1s, track goals, and get engineer insights — all through natural conversation in Claude Desktop or Claude Code.

Vereda AI connects to Claude through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — an open standard that lets AI assistants access external tools and data. Once connected, you can ask Claude questions about your team and it will pull live data from Vereda to answer them.

What Is the Claude Integration?

The Vereda AI MCP connector gives Claude access to your engineering management data. Instead of switching between tabs, you can ask Claude questions in plain English and get answers backed by real data from your team's standups, check-ins, goals, and more.

Natural conversation

Ask questions like "How is Sarah doing this sprint?" or "What should I cover in my 1:1 with James?" Claude pulls the data and gives you a clear answer.

20 management tools

From team health summaries to 1:1 prep, performance review data, goal tracking, and private notes — all accessible without leaving your conversation.

Privacy-first design

No email addresses, usernames, or personally identifiable information is sent to Claude. Tool responses contain only the management context needed to answer your question.

Getting Started

Connecting takes about 5 minutes. The setup works with both Claude Desktop and Claude Code.

Step 1: Add the Vereda AI connector

Click the "Add to Claude" button on the Anthropic Integrations directory or add the connector from Settings → Connectors in Claude Desktop.

Step 2: Authorize with your Vereda account

You'll be redirected to sign in with your Vereda AI account. This uses OAuth 2.0 — Claude never sees your password. Once authorized, the connector has access to the same data you see in Vereda.

Step 3: Start asking questions

That's it. Start a new conversation in Claude and ask about your team. Claude will automatically use the right Vereda tools to answer.

Using Claude Code?

Claude Code supports MCP connectors as well. Add the Vereda connector from your Claude Code settings to access all the same tools from the CLI.

Available Tools

The connector provides 20 tools organized into five categories. You don't need to know the tool names — just ask Claude what you need and it will pick the right one.

Requirements

Vereda AI paid subscription — The MCP connector is available on all paid plans.

Manager or Admin role — You need a manager or admin role in Vereda to access team data through the connector.

Claude Pro, Team, or Enterprise — MCP connectors require a paid Claude plan.

Privacy & Security

We designed the connector with privacy as a core constraint. Here's how your data is protected:

No PII sent to Claude

Tool responses never include email addresses, external usernames, phone numbers, or other personally identifiable information. Claude only sees names, roles, and management context.

OAuth 2.0 authentication

The connector uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. Claude never sees or stores your Vereda password. You can revoke access at any time from your Vereda settings.

Same permissions as your account

The connector can only access data you already have permission to view in Vereda. It respects all existing role-based access controls.

Full audit logging

Every tool invocation is logged with timestamps, tool name, and sanitized parameters. Organization admins can review all MCP activity.
